Absolutely no down field threat at all for the first two games. Are we saving Maclin for something I don't know about?

Maclin can't do much when Smith has company two steps into his drop

Smith had some time tonight. Not a lot of time, but there were a couple instances in the 2nd quarter and even the 4th quarter he had time to stretch the field.

his shoulders are always down running .. he don't look downfield and find open guys.

We need to hit some deep passes if we are gonna win games. If we can't stretch defenses out, it's gonna be a long year. We have the receivers now. Or, so I thought. Are Connelly and Wilson still on the roster?

From what I saw Conley didn't play a snap and will was never targeted

This OL can't pass protect long enough to run fly routes. If Broncos dropped back in coverage, the Chiefs could throw underneath routes. If the Broncos blitzed, Smith was running for his life or getting sacked. The Broncos and Texans have two of the best front 7's in all of football, but this OL needs to step up. And Eric Fisher.....nut up half pint. Pretend you have a pair.

The chiefs did some good things tonight. Just eliminate the turnovers and cute plays and we can do some damage. Our defense had a grewt game. Giving manning 5 extra series or even any qb and were still in the game? That right there proves our defense is for real and once we get sean smith back look out. Just fired reid as play caller and i think that would solve it all or atleast go along way.

Oh well. It was nice to be in the national limelight for a night anyway. We had a chance to prove the media doubters wrong tonight. And, of course, we blew it.
