    Default Quentin Moses?

i heard the Chiefs were bringing in Moses for a tryout. Aparently, he was cut by mistake by the Raiders (shocking), he was one of the guys the Chiefs wanted to claim after final cuts after preseason, but the Cards got him first. now, he's been released by the Cards, but i've heard he's been on the Dolphins roster since the 22nd.

Does anyone know for sure what's going on with this guy? His Jr. year in college, scouts were predicting he'd be a top 10 pick...sounds like he could help.

    Where did you hear that?

He is a young D lineman right?

I would love to get that duded in here.

We don't really have the room to release someone on defense with our secondary being so slow (Surtain), but we could cut Drummond and use Parker for returns.

That is what Parker should be doing. I think he could catch a ball that is coming at him from the sky, it is the straight on throws he has a problem with.

And he is supposedly the fastest guy on the team.

    Dolphins sign Schulters, Moses

    By TIM GRAHAM
    Palm Beach Post Staff Writer
    Wednesday, October 24, 2007
The Miami Dolphins on Tuesday dipped into their past to shore up the secondary and took a shot on a highly touted, but so far disappointing, rookie pass rusher in hopes of bolstering their patchwork defense for Sunday's game against the New York Giants in London.
The Dolphins signed safety Lance Schulters and defensive end Quentin Moses to round out their 53-man roster. They also added quarterback Casey Bramlet and tight end Buck Ortega, who played at the University of Miami, to their practice squad.

Schulters, 32, spent 2005 with the Dolphins and is no stranger to pinch-hit duty. The former Pro Bowler signed with the Atlanta Falcons last November as an injury fill-in for seven games. He hasn't played anywhere this season.
Schulters had 77 tackles, two sacks and four interceptions in his lone season with Miami.
Moses has yet to stick with one team long enough to compile stats.
Although the Oakland Raiders made Moses the 65th overall selection in this year's draft, he has been a huge disappointment. The Dolphins are his third team since Sept. 1.
Moses came out of Georgia with the reputation as a sack artist. He is 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds. The All-SEC performer went into his senior year lauded as a potential top-10 pick but managed only 41/2 sacks.
Despite playing with Oakland's first unit early in camp, he couldn't make the cut and became the highest-drafted player not to make his squad. Moses, who had four tackles in four exhibition games with Oakland, was picked up by Arizona and released Oct. 16.
But the 0-7 Dolphins are desperate. Injuries and subpar play have weakened their pass rush - they have just nine sacks.
Defensive tackle Vonnie Holliday (broken ankle) has missed the past three games. Defensive end Chase Page (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve a week ago.
Linebacker Joey Porter, who has lined up at end, snapped his career-long streak of six games without a sack in Sunday's lopsided loss to New England.
Miami in the past two weeks has added four defensive linemen, grabbing tackle Anthony Bryant off the Baltimore practice squad and signing three free agents: tackles Sam Rayburn and Jesse Mahelona and end Derreck Robinson.
Robinson was the only one of the recent signees to play Sunday. The other three were inactive.
The Cardinals saw Moses as a project when they snapped him up the day after the Raiders dumped him.
"He has a chance to be an excellent pass rusher," Cardinals GM Rod Graves told The Arizona Republic at the time of his signing. "When you have a guy like that who has that kind of frame, athletic ability, speed, you have to be patient and work with those kids.
Moses worked out for the Chiefs last week but reportedly turned down an offer to join their practice squad.
Noteworthy: Page had surgery, performed by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., to stabilize a labral tear in his right shoulder. He is out for the season.
