I'm not looking to start a fight. We have had enough of those. But can everybody agree that if you give Alex a good O-line, a decent running game, some good tight ends and at least one pretty damned good WR then Alex can be a "pretty good" QB?

Hell yes CT
I love seening alex step into the pocket now days makeing thorws .. I would haft to agree hope he stays on track!!
It's all about BALANCE,
Make a few deep throws.
Make a bunch of short throws.
RUN the ball a LOT.
Don't throw picks.
Above is not "exciting" but with the right team that can bring a lot of wins.
Point blank....I don't care if Alex goes 1 for 2 for 4 yards. If we win that is good enough for me.
I guess since the Detroit game he's been running the ball a lot more, and not just some runs caused by pressure, pre snap reads, he knows he's going
The best part of this is that Alex can still play better.
He has overthrown a few guys who were open on some downfield throws like Wilson this past sunday. That would have been a TD. He also overthrew Conley a couple of weeks ago. He also missed a wide open Kelce a couple of weeks ago. So things can get better from him.
For that to happen they will have to keep throwing downfield. It's one thing to throw downfield in a practice it's anther thing to do it in a game. The more he throws the more he can get timing better with the WRS and that should help at least a little with his overthrows
TopekaRoy is my hero!
Alex Smith had three interceptions on 376 passes this year. No QB in NFL history has finished a season with so many passes and so few INTs.
I had said a couple of years ago that Alex would be most successful if he ran this Offense the way that Rich Gannon did in late '97. And that is use both his arm and his legs to help move the Offense.
If Alex keeps it going & the Chiefs make it to the post-season, then you can bet Andy Reid won't be putting Alex on the bench in the post-season, the way they did with Gannon in '97.
