Chiefs lose WR coach David Culley to Bills, have potential replacement lined up

A week ago it was reported that the Buffalo Bills will be interviewing Chiefs WR coach David Culley for a job. I didn’t believe it or thought it was a bad rumor because Culley was with Andy Reid for his entire tenure in Philly and came to KC with him.
Turns out, it’s true. Culley is leaving the Chiefs to join the Bills as their quarterbacks coach, according to multiple reports.

I'm told @Chiefs WRs coach David Culley is leaving to become @buffalobills QBs coach. Working to confirm.

The connection is Bills new coach Sean McDermott, who was with the Eagles under Reid. Brad Childress was also briefly linked to the Bills job.
The KC Star’s Terez Paylor is reporting on this story and says that former EaglesWR Greg Lewis is in line to potentially become Culley’s replacement as the Chiefs WR coach.

Sources also say leading candidate to replace Culley as lead WR coach is Lewis, who will be w/staff at Pro Bowl. Kudos to @alexmarvez (2/2)

Lewis was a 2003 undrafted free agent and spent six years with the Eagles and two more with the Vikings. His coaching career includes stops as a WR coach for San Diego, San Jose State, Pittsburgh, New Orleans Saints (offensive assistant) and Philadelphia Eagles. That means he worked under Doug Pederson last year in Philly.
Culley was also the Chiefs assistant head coach so that’s another role they’ll need to replace (if they replace it). The Chiefs staff has been very consistent since Reid came to Kansas City. Before this, Pederson’s jump to the Eagles and a couple of assistant specials teams coaches are all the Chiefs have lost.
