If we sign Romo, we better get a heck of a backup QB.

We can't afford both Foles and Smith, let alone what Romo will charge.

Would rather see us draft a QB to groom behind Smith and Bray.

Agreed. Only way I see Romo coming to KC is on a cheap one year deal and I just don't see that happening. But that is just my opinion.

"If the Chiefs were to trade for Romo, they would likely cut Smith," so Romo would be the starter as I see it

If they plunked down Romo kind of money...which is a big IF in an offseason where Eric Berry and Dontari Poe are looking at big contracts...Then yes Romo better be playing.

And there is the problem with the talk of Romo coming to KC. Romo's contract calls for him to make just shy of $25 million per year over the next 3 years. I don't see the Chiefs coming up with that kind of cash AND being able to sign Berry and Poe.

I really hope this is just speculation with no truth to it. Romo is not a significant upgrade over Alex if he is one at all. Yes Alexis not Tom Brady or Matt Ryan. But neither is Romo. Throw a couple fliers on some Qb's in the draft.
