I couldn't think of anything I had read about talks between the Jets and Chiefs about Alex Smith. So I Googled it up. Didn't find much but what I did find suggested we might deal Alex to the Jets so we could get Romo. I will go on record as saying THAT IS A CRAZY RISK. Let's say it happens...what do we do when Romo goes down in week 1 for the rest of the season? In addition, who would be Romo's backup? Bray? Can't be Foles because we don't have the cash to pay both Foles and Romo. For just pure out CRAZY RUMORS I think this is the nuttiest off-season I have ever seen.Originally Posted by Chiefs4life24

I dont think romo fits our system. Hes to old and injury prone. If they want to trade alex them id rather just stick with foles and bray as backup. Atleast we seen foles in reids system and there wont be a learning curve. So either alex or foles but hell no to romo.

Exactly so. Getting rid of Alex to get Romo would be CRAZY. You don't trade in a steady reliable car to buy a car with a proven history of blowing it's engine and tranny.
