Although they deny saying so the Raiders were reported to have said Shell will be fired at the end of the season. If this is true (and it sounds like something the Raiders management would do) I think this is a very trashy way to treat a very classy guy. He may have for the most part been associated with the hated Raiders but I have always held Shell in high regard as a player, coach, and human being.

Getting back to Art Shell, he and his raiders have a chance to play spoiler in the game with the Jets, and if his job is on the line, maybe he can pull something off, you notice that I said Maybe. (grin)
