I don't mind telling you I am FLOORED! If someone had told me a week ago that this was coming I'd have figured they were dropping acid, smoking crack and chugging grain alcohol--ALL AT THE SAME TIME! With Reid's reputation for looking out for "his guys"--both players and coaches I figured Maclin would certainly get at least 1 year to redeem last years' sub-par performance. But no! OFF WITH HIS HEAD! One thing is DAMNED CERTAIN...With Maclin and JC cut this year EVERY MEMBER--including the highest paid veterans--of this team now knows that they now work for a team with a simple motto....PRODUCE OR DIE.

I do have to ask -- just what would the Chiefs give up in exchange for Richard Sherman? It wouldn't be cheap, that is for sure.

Probably the right attitude for a GM to have. But it's kind of rough for the fans. Of course it's all done to try to get us to the next level and if it gets us to the AFC Championship or better the fans will forgive most anything.

One thing is for certain though. This move saved us $32 million in cap space over the next 3 years and Dorsey isn't going to let that cash just lie around. He's going to spend it.

Peters & Morse come to mind when it comes to spending that cash.

You were correct earlier what you said 'PRODUCE OR DIE', because seeing what happened to Maclin, guys like Berry, Houston, and Fisher had better do just that. At least Fisher is at the OTA's, but Houston and Berry are not.

Somebody posted that Maclin was caught loafing too many times last year & didn't even run his routes. That will get you an exit stage left.
