    Default Double Standard for Reid?

When Tank got arrested for guns the judge told him that a player is responsible for everything in his home.

When a player gets caught with drugs in his home he gets suspended.

When a assistant coach for Dallas gets caught with HGH he gets a 4 game suspension cause it was in his home.

When Andy Reid's sons get arrested and his house gets searched and the judge says the Reid house was a "drug emporium" nothing happens to the coach. Is this a double standard? Should Reid get in some sort of trouble by the league? Everyone else got in troubel for things at their houses, why didn't Andy Reid?

Thoughts, speculations, insights, pro's, con's, etc? Let's hear them!!!

oh definitely. this i think willl not go unpunished. i think this is the reasoning for his leave of absence. the media is making it a sad story telling about the sadness of him losing both sons, but arent really tackling the idea of it being in his house. i didn't know that it was in his house, i thought it was the sons house....

I never have liked Reid, I loved seeing T.O. Beat them yesterday, while I felt much sorrow for Dungy with the issues with his son, (losing him to suicide) I won't shed a tear for Reid's son being enabled to do drugs by the fat a$$ sorry excuse for a coach.

There is definitely a double standard in the league. Head coaches are given so much slack by the league it is not even funny.

The real embarrassment is that the legal system chose not to punish him, even though it was his house.

I could understand a parent getting away with it if their kid was in high school or something but these two kids were grown a$$ men, and I just can't see how Andy didn't know about it. The guy is a Mormon for criminies sake, they don't even allow alcohol, caffeine, or tobacco to enter their bodies let alone drugs enter their house.

    Good topic sling!

I knew he took a leave of absense as the start of the season but I didn't hear he was taking another one. Is he planning on doing that?

I don't think it's fair. If EVERYONE else in the league has got in trouble for things that have happened at their homes then Mr. Icangetustothebiggamebutcantwinit should get some kind of repercussion also. Not a sympathy show by any means, which is what he is getting.

Andy Reid has never been subject to discipline from commissioner Roger Goodell because the charges against the Eagles coach's two adult sons do not constitute a violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy.

According to the personal conduct policy, if an NFL player had children in legal trouble under identical circumstances, the player also would not be in violation of the policy.

Where did you find that? Rule book? I wonder if it would actually work that way though.

The drugs were in his house just like the HGH was in the house of the Dallas assistant coach. I don't see the difference.
