The Chiefs are giving their young starting quarterback a big-play receiver. Sammy Watkins and the Chiefs have agreed to terms on a contract that should be signed tomorrow, according to multiple reports. The deal has been pegged at about $16 million a year for three years. So we go from releasing our top WR a year ago because of cap issues, to over paying for one the next. Humm... What bothers me is this is his 3rd team since being drafted 4 years ago. WHY.

Love this move....this opens up the offense in so many ways. Both him and hill averaged more than 17 yards per play the only players in the nfl to do so how do you stop that. Also a big red zone threat him and kelce are going to make you pick your poison. Pair in the rushing champ and thats how you surround your franchise qb. Let's hope the o-line can protect him.

I don't have a problem with this move. Go back to 2015 when Watkins torched both Sean Smith and Eric Berry for TD's TWICE. Watkins has bonafide talent. The problem has been injuries. If Mahomes gets time to throw, then Watkins & the rest of this receiving core can do it.

Watkins just needs to stay off social media and keep his mouth shut. He was Buffalo's Marcus Peters, they were tired of him despite his talents.
