Oh dear this is gonna cause some more problems now, under these new rules the ground is no longer a factor, under the new if you catch the ball its a completion.

But what happens if you catch it and get destroyed and fumble immediately how will they rule that?

Ok im confused as **** now. For me its not about how many ateps you take once you catch it. Ita more about the ball and how mich control you got on it. Do you have it in your hands and in a secure position. And yes you have to maintain control when you hit the ground. If the grpund causes ypu to loae control when going down for a catch then its not a catch. I never understood how the ground couldnt be the reason you lost control.

How can it not be a factor. So if your diving or falling to the ground and the ball pops out ofbyour handd when the ball hits the ground then that shouldnt be a catch. A catch is made from the air. When ball hits ground then its no longer a pass to catch. So you have to maintain catch through contacting the ground.

Now a catch would be just catch it and it's a completion. Remember the Dez Bryant fumble where the ground caused the ball to come loose?? Under the new rule that would be ruled a catch

Then that would be a catch and a fumble.

now that would be ruled a catch and a TD, no fumble cause now they say the ground cannot cause a fumble, this sounds worse than what we had before

Thats basically saying The ground cant cause an incomplete pass. Now if there running and ground cant cause a dumble ok but if your still in process of a catch and the ball touches ground at all it should be incomplete. Say your diving amd ypu catch it but when it hits the ground it pips it lose. Is that an incomplete pass or a fumble or now a catch but down?
