Playing Rule Article 8: It is a foul if a player lowers his head to initiate and make contact with his helmet against an opponent. The player may be disqualified. Applies to any player anywhere on the field. The player may be Disqualified.


IMO this is going to radically change the run game and how rb's square up on defenders, it going to be interesting to see how they enforce this

I actually love this. But it should simply just state that the 1st contact with another player cant be with the crown of the helmet. Just keep your head up. Show your face mask. Thats the 1st thing your taught as a kid. Funny as adult we don't take that same advice we give kids. Simply put no contact with the crown of helmet. That will prevent players feim targeting amd teyung to injure another.
