Get a clue bud!! Two things you should never talk about at the bar or in a public forum....Politics and religion.

I think compared to politicians I LOVE the Raiders (actually, politicians ARE raiders themselves! Politics is really just a license to steal. Oh so that means politicians are also Steelers!. Uh oh and the Presidents are commanders in CHIEF! NO!!!! We can't associate the Chiefs with them!)

ONE football team the politicians are certainly NOT is The Saints! And I wish we could make them all get out and be the PACKERS! Let's get their private JETS ready for em'.

you libs look down on people whos parents worked hard to give them a better chance at life.

    Again, I'm not a lib.

So I should feel guilty that my dad worked his arze off and gave me more security than the ordinary person and then taught me the same discipline that he had so I can continue to provide for myself while your dad was out every night smoking doobies and having sex with every girl he could get on and paying child support out his arze.. HAHAHAHAHAH I LOVE liberals mindsets.

My dad never smoked pot and him and my mother have been married 40 years. It don't take a liberal to think your a dumba$$. You lie, contradict yourself and have a holier than thou attitude that is barely palpable. Also, if you bad mouth my dad again me and you are going to have a real problem.

so i need to "struggle" before i can have a voice!
Again ignorance is a lack of knowledge, and you have that in aces.

timsatt - take a deep breath.

No one on this site has said "give poor people more", but you keep yelling against it.

No one on this site has said "they are entitled to it", but you keep yelling they aren't.

No one on this site has said "raise taxes", but you keep yelling we shouldn't.

What everyone is trying to tell you in different ways, but you are not getting, is that you are wrong in saying being poor is a choice and people have it coming, so why should we help them.

Your parents worked hard and put you on a great path. This is OUTSTANDING. You obviously attribute a lot of credit to them for that.

I salute your parents and I think you are probably a good person with good intentions in life, in part because of their influence.

The question you need to ask, before you start yelling about liberals, is if you would be the same person you are today -- drug free / pre-marital sex free / hard working / volunteering your time to make life better for others -- would you really be the same?

The answer is no. You keep giving your parents the credit, so you have to admit they had a hand in it.

Now that you admit, where you end up has a lot to do with where you start (and there are exceptions, but the rule is the apple doesn't fall far from the tree economically or morally), look at a child growing up in poverty, bad schools, smoking, sex, drugs and look at the influences they have.

It should make it a little bit harder to say "well they chose it". If they "chose", they obviously were influenced to choose it.

You are making both liberals & conservatives mad when you rant and rave about poor people.

How to fix it? We all differ -- this is where liberals / conservatives / socialists really start to go their separate ways. Empathy and understanding, this appears to be where the rest of the site is uniting against you.

If you want to start a political debate, talk about welfare programs / school vouchers / universal head-start programs / etc., leave the "poor people bring it on themselves" out of it and you might get some intelligent discussion.
You can only have one favorite team. There are no "second favorites".

Nobody said that it is bad to have been given a "leg-up" from your parents. But the fact that you have never had to endure the lifestyles that many people are forced into, means that you are, literally, not figuratively, ignorant to those peoples plights. And for you to run your mouth about it is what gives people the impression that you are a scumbag.

You sit in the position that your parents helped put you in and criticize those whos parents didn't, or couldn't do the same for them.

Then, you act like you are some kind of victim of the "liberal" abuse.
