    Jumped the Shark is a term that refers to the demise of a TV series. Happy Days was a hit in its time, and as they were sinking in the ratings they tried this "gimmick" to regain a foothold...the episode was a flop, and the show withered away...other famous "Shark Jumps" are listed on the web...
