Chiefs and Royals

You notice how the Chiefs and Royals often don't seem to be good during the same period? The Chiefs were good in the 60's and early 70's while the Royals were struggling in their first few years as a new team. Then when the Chiefs had the down period in the mid 70's to late 80's the Royals had the excellent George Brett era. Then our Chiefs got back to good football in '89 -'06 while the Royals have had mostly awful years. Now just as the Royals improved in '07 and are being talked about as gaining even more young talent and thus may be getting back to good baseball days again, the Chiefs are 4-11.

Hopefully 2008 The Chiefs get back to excellence and the Royals also do indeed get back to true blue.

Right but see, in "Back to the Future" there was a line where the doc says how he'll be able to see who wins the next 25 World Series (not Super Bowls). So with the Royals winning that very year of the movie, hey .... some neat significance there!

I have thought about it before, though. It does seem like neither one of the teams can do well at the same time.
