Default Will Shields to train Clady. Can the Chiefs get him or Long?

Impact Offensive Tackle Enters NFL Draft
    OLT Ryan Clady

Scout.com has confirmed that Boise St. University OLT Ryan Clady has declared himself eligible for the 2008 NFL draft.

The projected top-10 selection signed Tuesday with JL Sports and will begin training this week in Martinsville New Jersey at TEST Sports.

Clady is regarded as the second-rated offensive lineman of the 2008 draft behind University of Michigan's Jake Long.

As an interesting aside, former Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro G Will Shields will be involved in training Clady for the draft and NFL Combine.

This article says ESPN has Clady going to the Chiefs at number 7.

Couldn't find the link on ESPN.com but he is listed as number 13 over all on their Draft Central.

Since the Rams are ahead of us in the draft, I highly doubt that Long will be available. Unless they are getting some really good news about Orlando Pace, in which case, they might still take him.

Yeah, that makes sense. Especially since our very capable punter was a leftover from the previous coaching staff.
