    Default Letterman grew a beard during the writers strike!

    I have never seen him with a beard, and I don't know what to think.

    Will this make him funnier?

    No. It is still on. The late night shows didn't want to fire staff so they came back on but are using their own material now.

    It looks like the writers strike isn't over.

    Dave owns his show with CBS (he has negotiated some kind of deal with his writers), whle Leno won't have writers for his show tonight.

    Letterman needs the writers...he hasn't been funny in over a decade. Leno is better without the writers than Letterman is with them.
