Clinton, McCain emerge as comeback winners in New Hampshire primary

WASHINGTON - Democrat Hillary Clinton pulled off an unexpected narrow victory in New Hampshire on Tuesday, dramatically rescuing her bid for the White House in a tense battle with Barack Obama.
Clinton, who's fighting to become the first woman in the Oval Office, mounted a surprisingly strong showing after bracing for a second defeat following her devastating third-place showing in Iowa.

Republican John McCain also nabbed a major comeback victory, putting him solidly back in his party's nomination race.
While Obama, vying to make history as the first black U.S. president, scored big among independents and voters between 18 and 24, Clinton attracted lower-income voters and seniors and did best among voters citing the economy as their top concern.
But a big factor for Clinton was women voters, who had gone over to Obama in large numbers in Iowa. Nearly half in New Hampshire were once again supporting her, while Obama got only a third.

Yeah, it's a damn good thing that "W." has only sent thousands of Americans to their deaths for the purpose of avenging an attempt on his daddys life.

I think starting a war with a country that is all but defenseless might be just a shade worse than any of that.

Seems like a bit of a contradiction...not saying I agree, but if the country you speak of killed thousands then the are not exactly defenseless.

They weren't killing any Americans as far as I know until we invaded them.

There weren't even any terrorists in Iraq until we invaded them, and their infrastructure was destroyed.

couple things, first off not only was clinton pardoning fugitives at the end of his 8 years, but they werent just any fugitives, clinton's brother was making big $$ on every fugitive bill was releasing. It was people that gave clinton's brother money in order for his brother to send a list to bill of who to release.another thing on the iraq issue, no terrorists in iraq? true...because sadaam and his regime had such a monopoly of power on the people that he was the only terrorist...doing things you couldnt even think of...and everyone feared to do anything to him or his clan. was it a good idea to go into iraq? one of those things we wont know until history gives us the answer years from now and we truly see the end result. but how long do you let a hostile nation go without letting the UN go in and inspect. if you compare china and united states with nukes to a muslim nation with nukes...there is a big difference. The muslim nations would have taken israel out by now and would destroy any country that was not run by islam.

Iraq hadn't been doing anything since the first gulf war, in '91.

Butting our nose into some others countries' affairs is the primary reason that the world already hates us. If Iraq had a problem with Saddam, then that is their business, not ours.

When they decided, before the first gulf war, to invade their peaceful neighbor, (Kuwait) then we were somewhat justified in assisting a victimized nation.

But when we went into Iraq this time, they were not bothering anyone. Saddams military power had been primarily diminished from the previous gulf war.

What really convinces me that we were unjust in our actions is that we issued an ultimatum to Saddam. Then, once Saddam agreed to our terms, we changed our minds and said "forget it, we are coming in anyway."

We pretended that our interest in Iraq was about making sure that they weren't hiding WMDs, but when Saddam agreed to allow all inspections, we proved that we weren't really interested in that.

And in my opinion, sending our nation to war, under false pretences, is not comparable to forgiving a couple of criminals.

The horrible crime of handing out a few pardons for a few bucks doesn't even compare to the atrocities that are occuring from Haliburton and other private contractors in Iraq, right now.
