Clinton, McCain emerge as comeback winners in New Hampshire primary



WASHINGTON - Democrat Hillary Clinton pulled off an unexpected narrow victory in New Hampshire on Tuesday, dramatically rescuing her bid for the White House in a tense battle with Barack Obama.
Clinton, who's fighting to become the first woman in the Oval Office, mounted a surprisingly strong showing after bracing for a second defeat following her devastating third-place showing in Iowa.

Republican John McCain also nabbed a major comeback victory, putting him solidly back in his party's nomination race.
While Obama, vying to make history as the first black U.S. president, scored big among independents and voters between 18 and 24, Clinton attracted lower-income voters and seniors and did best among voters citing the economy as their top concern.
But a big factor for Clinton was women voters, who had gone over to Obama in large numbers in Iowa. Nearly half in New Hampshire were once again supporting her, while Obama got only a third.

Which is exactly why we don't want the Government involved. Politicians still line their pockets in gold. BOTH sides.

But if they have no guidlines, then they ruin the planet as fast as possible. They would gladly dump all waste in the river, if noone was going to do anything about it.

With coorporations, there is noone at the drivers seat. There is no boss that can say (Even if they wanted to) "we need to stop worrying about the bottom-line so much." or "Sucha-and-such dollars is good enough for the quarter, let's work on our companies other issues."

The owner is the market, and the market knows nothing beyond the dollar.

dude, i'm lost. I can't go with Huckabee. I can't stand McCain. The only thing i like about McCain besides his view on the war is the fact that he stood fast next to Bush while the rest of the rats tried to jump ship.

The problem with most people is that their sense of history begins when they were born and ends when they die.

For example, I love listening to people say that it's never been this hot in the last couple thousand years. I wonder if the people during the dust bowl who complained about how hot and dry things were, blamed global warming.

Do people actually think Communism came as a total and complete package? The idea evolved into what it is now and the core roots of Communism are based in Socialism. But, hell....most of this country slept thru history classes in HS and College.

We are so damn close it is scary. Why people can't see through Obama and Hillary (even McCain) is beyond me. It just seems so obvious.

which is why i liked Romney....homeboy wouldn't have owed ANYONE if he got in....what, 35 million out of his OWN POCKET to run his campaign? It's not like this guy was Perott! Romney actually had decent ideas. Too bad all the other candidates ganged up against him.
