Crap.Clinton, McCain emerge as comeback winners in New Hampshire primary
WASHINGTON - Democrat Hillary Clinton pulled off an unexpected narrow victory in New Hampshire on Tuesday, dramatically rescuing her bid for the White House in a tense battle with Barack Obama.
Clinton, who's fighting to become the first woman in the Oval Office, mounted a surprisingly strong showing after bracing for a second defeat following her devastating third-place showing in Iowa.
Republican John McCain also nabbed a major comeback victory, putting him solidly back in his party's nomination race.Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y. greets a familiar face. THE ASSOCIATED PRESS/Elise Amendola
While Obama, vying to make history as the first black U.S. president, scored big among independents and voters between 18 and 24, Clinton attracted lower-income voters and seniors and did best among voters citing the economy as their top concern.
But a big factor for Clinton was women voters, who had gone over to Obama in large numbers in Iowa. Nearly half in New Hampshire were once again supporting her, while Obama got only a third.

I must say that this thread needs to end. Thank God, the election is getting closer.

I've said before that I'm not a fan of mixing football and politics.
That said, there's a part of me that can not resist jumping in to the 'Political Thread' of any football forum where the thread is clearly slanted towards one view instead of true discourse.
All of that "patting each other on the back/preaching to the choir"-**** is NOT discourse. And it's one of many reasons that Americans can barely, if ever, get to the truth of important matters.
Both of you, keep the personal attacks out of it. If you feel that the other is an idiot, then just leave it be.
Move on and address whatever you can without insults.
On topic...
I don't need any government handouts either. But I certainly don't need them in my pocket for every cent that I get or use.
Those who are doing well should feel lucky. Not everyone is.
It is not because you are some superior being, nor that they are not willing to work hard for things.
There are a million differences between each of us. Some just choose to ignore those differences, and the effects that they can have on life.
But, being judgemental of others' situations doesn't sound like something that is condoned by The Bible.![]()
What makes that kind of judgemental behaviour worse is that it works its way into peoples lifestyles. It becomes somewhat of a foregone conclusion that people in certain situations have put themselves there, instea f even bothering to actually hear any reasons, or 'excuses'.
Then, people will try to convince me that they are not like that. They listen to peoples problems before passing judgement. But they don't. Even when they hear the words, they already have their minds made-up on the matter, and it shows with every intolerant retort.
I don't care if you want to be someone who wants to judge peopl like you know all, and have been through the toughest circumstances. I don't even care if you want to be that judgemental and then turn around and preach to us about God.
I just want you to realize that, if you do, then you are a hypocrite. That's not an insult. Just an observation.
The government specifically has alot of rules that you take for granted, but that become major life changing events to those who don't have much.
It can be a long, pointless discussion, if you aren't truly open to seeing things from the angle of others.
Anyway, that's my piece on the subject. Gotta get back to work.![]()
That is why there is ONLY ONE THREAD allowed. I have seen other sports forums where politics has its complete own forum.
I would say we are doing pretty well with it over here.
Most of the posters here seem to have the same political lean there is nothing wrong with that. Are they supposed to just change their lean to support your "discourse?"
THAT quarterback is NOT a Pro Bowl quarterback. Never was and never will be.
