Clinton, McCain emerge as comeback winners in New Hampshire primary



WASHINGTON - Democrat Hillary Clinton pulled off an unexpected narrow victory in New Hampshire on Tuesday, dramatically rescuing her bid for the White House in a tense battle with Barack Obama.
Clinton, who's fighting to become the first woman in the Oval Office, mounted a surprisingly strong showing after bracing for a second defeat following her devastating third-place showing in Iowa.

Republican John McCain also nabbed a major comeback victory, putting him solidly back in his party's nomination race.
While Obama, vying to make history as the first black U.S. president, scored big among independents and voters between 18 and 24, Clinton attracted lower-income voters and seniors and did best among voters citing the economy as their top concern.
But a big factor for Clinton was women voters, who had gone over to Obama in large numbers in Iowa. Nearly half in New Hampshire were once again supporting her, while Obama got only a third.

I hope that Trump does not ban Muslims coming into the USA. I would miss being able to see a Chiefs game.

He can't ban Muslims from coming into the USA. For one thing, they could just lie and say they are not Muslim. He wants to do thorough vetting on people coming from Countries that harbor Islamic terrorist groups, like Syria, Iran and Iraq. Trust me, the UK is nowhere near that list. You and your Islamic friends would be most welcome here.

I went into Tuesday not giving a damn about who won. Now after seeing the total hypocrisy from a lot of Clinton supporters there's a part of me that's glad Trump won.

After weeks of yelling about Trump not promising to accept the results of the election they are now the ones that refuse to accept the results. Or are the one declaring that America is now racist and sexist and yada yada yada. Clinton lost because she was a terrible candidate just like Trump would have lost because he was a horrible candidate. PERIOD END OF STORY

Trump isn't going to be able to do just anything that he wants there are what's called checks and balances. Trump will not have absolute power. People will be fine. He won't be any different from what we have had before

I think he will not ban Muslims now that he has already started to back away from some of his campaign promises. It is starting to look exactly what the Dems were saying, that Trump wanted to be President just to suit himself. Only time will tell though.

Sadly this is how it works. Make a bunch of promises to do this or that get elected do nothing then blame the other party
