Default Ray Lewis negotiating with UFC

I heard last night that Ray Lewis is negotiating a contract with the UFC according to FSR.

Besides me, who else here would love to see Ray Lewis get his a$$ beat?

They've already announced that Williams has the job? They haven't seen him play in the red and gold yet and they're giving him the job? Oh well, i'd still take Kimbo.

Nothings been announced but my bet is that Napoleon is headed to the bench! He may get a start here and there but Williams will be the primary guy.

Not that i'm the biggest Napoleon fan but didn't he have over 100 tackles last season? Does this move make sense?

If I remember correctly, Harris was 2nd or 3rd on the team for tackles last season.

I think they brought Williams in for depth and will likely see Harris still starting with Williams coming in from the bench.

So, I guess I'm pretty much saying the exact opposite of what you stated.

I disagree, though I respect your candor.

EDIT: HAHA, I just saw this: "The Chiefs plan to use Williams as a starter at one outside linebacker position, with Donnie Edwards moving to the middle. Derrick Johnson would keep his starting spot, with middle linebacker Napoleon Harris moving to the bench."

So, that would make you correct and I would be the ! Sorry about that.

Thanks for all the yards, TDs, and memories, Priest!

Williams is more a younger version of Donnie Edwards...he isn't a pass rush specialist, but is great in pass coverage. By putting him at WLB the team will be able to free the safeties up to focus on deeper routes, with Williams covering shorter routes from a TE or RB, and Edwards/DJ will be able to be used in pass rush roles. The fact that 3 LBs have over 100 tackles isn't necessarily a good thing...it just means the line isn't stopping enough guys and your giving up too many 5-7 yard runs (or longer).

The 49ers own my heart, but the Chiefs will always hold a better than neutral spot for giving my favorite player a place to leave with grace...
