Default Jared Allen was partying in Las Vegas Saturday night!

Kansas City Chiefs star Jared Allen, stopping by Privé nightclub (Planet Hollywood Resort) on Saturday.

I haven't heard anything about him getting arrested.

Looks like he's figured it out.

    Get a friggin' driver!

I was on the other night and this was mentioned.

This is the only thing I've seen reported locally.

Chiefs consider KU's Hartwig for offensive lineman’s job

The Chiefs may look locally to fill a void on the offensive line.

They were expecting to meet with free-agent center Justin Hartwig, who played at the University of Kansas.

Hartwig has played six seasons in the NFL. Four years were with Tennessee and two with Carolina.
Drafted by the Titans in the sixth round in 2002, Hartwig was a starter in four seasons. He was a reserve as a rookie in 2002 and missed most of the 2006 season because of a groin injury.

The Panthers released Hartwig, 29, last week.

The Chiefs are looking for three starting offensive linemen. They must replace guard John Welbourn, who was released, and center Casey Wiegmann, an unrestricted free agent who won’t be re-signed. They also need a dependable right tackle.

Only guard Brian Waters and tackle Damion McIntosh will return among last year’s regulars.

Here's a comment from a guy who's watched him with the Titans.

Don't cut him down too fast, weasels. I'm a KC transplant in Nashville, so I saw Hartwig when he was with the Titans. He is not a bad Center by any means. There are a couple reasons that Hartwig would be a nice add.

    1. Carolina moved to a zone blocking scheme last year (where Hartwig started 15 games). I've heard that KC wants to move to a zone scheme in the future, so it's not a bad idea to add someone who knows that style.

    2. We can't expect to pull 3 starters on O-line through the draft. We'll be lucky to get 1-2. We could do worse than a seasoned/experienced Center that still has 3-4 years of good ball in him.

I am a KC fan living in Charlotte now. I have a good buddy who is a panthers fan so i watched pretty much every game for the past two years. This guy def can fill the need. He had a good supporting cast in mike wahl and jordan gross. but I totally agree that we cant realistically get 3 o line starters (this year) out of this draft.

NFL reported that we supposedly met with him yesterday. so we will se soon enough if anything happens with him.

I hope we sign the guy today!

I better read about him signing by the time I get off work!

He's younger than Weiggeman, and it will keep Waters where he belongs.

HA. Every few hours I glance at all my Chiefs news feeds thinking...maybe...MAYBE this will be the hour. The hour where the Chiefs begin the rise to glory by doing something smart. Signing someone that can help now AND in the future. Or possibly keeping the few players that we have that fit in that category happy and fairly paid.

Every hour I expect to see some great news...every hour I am dissapointed.

I believe this is the definition of insanity.
