    Default For tornadospotter!

Check out some of these rigs.

    Chase Team
    Written by Webmaster
Chasing4Life founder Eddy Weiss travels the country with his sidekick “Dorothy”. Dorothy is a 1992 Chevy S-10 Blazer. Dorothy carries four on-board computers and proudly shows her Davis Classic Weather Station on top. Dorothy is also outfitted with four highly sensitive SensorGuards on her front right quarter panel. Now Dorothy sports "Hail-No!" Window Armor by Pro-Sport and can be seen pulling the new Danko-Xtreme Rapps Multi-Hazard Education Tour trailer.

It is companies like Xtreme Rapps, Danko, QGraphX, Baron Services, 10-18 Lighting and Pro-Sport that keep this chase team alive and running.

Inside, Dorothy runs her Mobile Threatnet from Baron Services. On dash cameras and a data recorder also make Dorothy a bit unique.Dorothy and her driver have quite a reputation around the country, and rarely see a day that does not include an autograph-signing session somewhere! As the lead couple, Dr. Eddy and Dorothy are usually at the head of the chase, relying on the C4L StormTracking Headquarters in Shelton, Nebraska to coordinate the rest of the team.

Brandi Hodgen is our lead StormTracker and coordinator for the Chasing4Life Team. Brandi’s experience and education are a great asset to the team as she monitors weather conditions around the country and acts as the team’s dispatcher year ‘round.

Once the driver of “Interceptor”, Dan Bocklund now pilots “Windrider” around the country. Windrider is a 2001 Nissan Frontier outfitted with a LaCrosse wireless weather station feeding a computer inside the cab. Windrider is a faster vehicle than Dorothy, and so Dan and his ride run support for the team, able to take readings from different sides of the same storm. The Frontier is a more stable vehicle than Dr. Eddy’s, and so Windrider operates as a secondary support vehicle for the team in times of trouble.

Shane Fiorelli has a last name like a European race car but he's chasing in a 1993 Chevy S-10 Blazer "Elysia". Shane joins us with his wife and C4L StormTracker Lacey! Shane is a member of the Broken Bow Fire Department in Broken Bow, Nebraska and has been an EMT on their squad for almost 3 years. Shane and Lacey own 10-18 Lighting & Supplies, a C4L sponsor company based out of Broken Bow.

Every group needs a "bad boy", and Eddy has handed over the reigns and the title to the team's newest chaser, Ben Parker in his modified Jeep Cherokee. Ben (owner of Chasing4Life sponsor company Pro-Sport) has been chasing severe weather for years and is in the middle of modifying his Jeep into a force to be reckoned with. It ain't pretty, but you don't want to get in the way of this chase/recovery/response vehicle or its driver!

Cathy Davis runs in the Husker-red 1990 Jeep Cherokee appropriately dubbed “Husker Helper” that is the team’s main support vehicle. A valuable member of the team, Cathy is the team’s lead tracker and “tow-truck” driver. It is Cathy’s responsibility to respond with the team’s disaster response trailer should the need arise.

Brennan Dean Burge, born in Seaford, Delaware now chases in his new Blazer out of Washington Court House, Ohio. A Ham Radio operator (KC8QGN), Brennan is an important member of the team with his background in firefighting, storm chasing, weather spotting working as a dispatcher for Fayette County, Ohio. Brennan’s interest in severe weather began shortly after he was licensed when he began to run the weather nets at the fire department. Brennan spent the next few years furthering his education of severe weather and began chasing when he was 19. Brennan currently works for the Washington C. H. Fire Department as a Communications Auxilliary/Dispatcher. Brennan has promoted storm safety and preparedness education since he was in high school. As a Boy Scout and storm spotter, he knew the inportance of always being prepared. Brennan is a member of the Central Ohio Amateur Radio Emergency Service and holds numerous certificates from FEMA covering disaster preparedness and response. It is Brennan’s goal to share this knowledge of preparedness with communities and to assist them before and during their times of greatest need.

Cheyenne Weiss, a chip off the old block (Eddy's daughter) is our chaser-in training and an active member of our tracking team. Cheyenne has just been added to the team as the driver of her own vehicle, an Isuzu Trooper in the process of being modified to a chase-support vehicle. Modifications are being done by team sponsors Pro-Sport of Kearney and 10-18 Lighting of Broken Bow.
