After floundering for the first few months of the season the Mets seem to be heating up heading into the All-Star break. They've won seven of their last ten games and four in a row after Tuesday's 7-0 win over the Giants. The team seems to have responded to interim manager Jerry Manuel, as Carlos Delgado has awoken from his prolonged struggles, Jose Reyes has started to flash his 2006-2007 form, and the pitchers are putting up quality starts.
The Colorado Rockies however have fallen from grace after their sleeper run through September and October last season, they've failed to put anything together. Rumors surround the team as contenders are interested in closer Brian Fuentes, as well as a few other veterans. This team may make a full youth movement shortly after the all star break, unless they show signs of another miracle run here in July.
