Thread: Hermans line, coming to reality

Default Hermans line, coming to reality

WOW! Jared Allens out. Herms 1st pick as Chiefs head coach, Tamba Hali, moves to his spot. With 3 sacks in the pre-season (Most in the league so far.) Herms 2nd round pick last year, Turk Mcbride, looks like hes replaced Alphonso Boone on the opposite end. Obviously 1st round pick Glenn Dorsey starts at right tackle. Last but not least, Herms other second round pick from last year, Tank Tyler, is improving rapidly and looks to crack the starting line up early this year. Possibly opening day.
That will put two 1st round and two second round picks by Herm Edwards in the starting lineup this year. Dont forget that 3 out of the 4 opening day starters in the defensive backfield are all Herm Draft picks from the past 3 years.
If this Defense becomes solid, which it has a very good chance of doing. You Herm Haters are gonna be lookin mighty stupid.
Think about the draft selections under the Vermeil regime. Ryan sims, Samie Parker, Junior Siavvi, should I continue? You know what Im talking about. Stevie Wonder can see the difference between those picks and Herms picks. If you wanna talk about prospecting exclusively, Herm Edwards is about as good as it gets. With as many new names that Herm Edwards has installed here. It would be impossible for him to not become a hero, should the chiefs win 8-10 games this year.
Looks like its up to the game planning now kids!

Remember LJ didnt get that option his rookie year and Kolby got thrown into it. Also, I truely think that if this year is another bust, I believe Clark Hunt will say enough! He will get rid of both Carl and Herm and bring in someone new. By that time good ole' Bill Cowher will be ready to take over and run his own team! I could possibly be wrong though! Atleast my wife always tells me so!

BRING ON COWHER AND DOWN WITH THE LAST 20 YEARS!
I wouldn't mind seeing Cowher on our sideline. I'm not holding my breath though.

    Default Couldn't agree more

This season will be a bust, and Herm's already got all the excuses ready. I say 3 - 13. The Pats will gut us badly. And it's going to be hard to recover from that. I don't agree with any of Herm's moves, and Carl's probably more responsible. We've lost great coaches, lost great players. Pi$$ed away draft picks (remember last year's kicker who replaced the guy that won the super bowl). The Miami game probably said it all. It's always 1 step forward, 4 steps back. Losing Allen was really the last straw. Maybe we can get a draft pick for Herm. And bring on Cowher!!!

I hope your not a real Doctor because you might be the biggest idiot that ive seen on this site so far. 1st of all. That kicker who won the super bowl is AWFUL!. Lawrence Tynes missed 2 game winning field goals, before he finally made the 3rd one one in overtime. If Brett Farve hadnt been acting like his usual self, the Packers would have easily one that game in regulation. (Another reason why he got 86'd by Green Bay.) We lost great players and coaches? WHO? Herm took over a team full of decreped old has-beens. Two hall of fame lineman retired and the defense was the laughing stock of pro football. Al Saunders was mad that they give him the coaching position and went to Washington. The offensive coordinator Herm inherited was horrible. Major changes were gonna have to happen to this old team and thats what your seeing now. Remember: Herm took the chiefs to the AFC Playoffs his first year. The same team that Dick couldnt do that with the year before. Plus he did it with Damon Huard.

Before you sound off with ignorant, grumpy, old Herm Hater rants, know what your talking about. You probably would be thrilled with plugging solid veterans in to give us a 9 to 11 win team for the next 5 years. This is how great teams are built little fella!

Herm's team got lucky in 06. They had a worse record, worse offense, and the same defense, but they didn't have a surging Steeler team coming in, like in 05, where Vermeil's team missed out in 05, despite winning 10 games.

I hope Herm succeeds, but I highly doubt he will.

I dont believe Herm inherited Solari. I'm pretty sure that Herm gave him a chance to prove himself since Herm likes to give new guys chances. I do believe he didnt have a choice with Gunther though. I also dont blame Gunther for the defensive problems since he was told what defense he was going to run. The second that Herm interviewed for the job as Chiefs HC Saunders future was over in KC. I believe that most KC fans thought that Saunders had the HC job in the bag when Vermiel retired (I know I did and wanted it too happen). So now we are just going to have to see how this works out and continue to ask what if!

Wait, so your admitting that you LIKE Al Saunders???

His offense was so predicatalbe it was laughable how the defense knew exactly what we were doing. I'm glad Saunders is gone and didnt get the HC job.

As for the hopes for our season, I've still got hope and I do see some bright spots out there. I didnt not understand the JA issue and still think it was a bad call, but its done. Hopefully Albert performs for what we spent for him.
