    Default 0-16

That's what I'm calling for after getting EMBARRASSED by one of the worst and most screwed up teams in the NFL at HOME! ANYONE that thinks this team could even be MEDIOCRE is out of there minds after this one. I'm not sure we could do anything right.

LJ had a horrible game, as usual, with a whopping 22 yards, the other backs didn't do much better. Huard was "injured"(yeah right) and replaced by a guy a lot of the homers here wanted to see named Thigpen, satisfied? He forces the ball into coverage WAAAAY too much. Sure, he could get better, but to just put him in now? Isn't finding out about people what the preseason is for? Not to HERM!

Passing defense was good, Russel had a horrible game, but who cares? The Raiders ran on us like it was a track meet! OVER 300 FREAKING YARDS RUSHING FOR THEM! UNACCEPTABLE! If we can't stop the run, EVEN WHEN WE KNOW IT'S COMING, how can we stop the run at all? Special teams was mediocre.

    Edit:
Before anyone harps on me about my prediction thread that I made earlier in the season, just throw it out the window, I didn't know our run-D could be THIS bad.

On the small bright note, Culquitt had a decent game, as usual. Bowe and Gonzo also had decent games. Other than that, down right PATHETIC! Getting a beat down at home by the RAIDERS? 0-16 and a #1 draft pick, here we come!

So no matter what happened all weekend long, that would ruin it for you? You must be the worlds most boring guy to hang out with.

Take the #1 pick overall and trade it for more picks and turn them into a pair of first rounders. The first pick should be a top 10 pick and the second should be a late teens pick.

With the first, DE/OLB, George Selvie, South Florida
With the second, OT, Andrea Smith, Alabama
With the 2nd rounder, MLB, Brandon Spikes, Florida
    1st 3rd rd, G, Craig Urbik, Wisconsin
2nd 3rd rd, OLB, Maurice Evans, Penn St.
I do not think that Quinn is the answer. He is young like the rest of the team. We need a vet to be the QB

Are you the same guy? The first response was in regards to being told that the weekend must have sucked for all of us. It didn't. I had no idea that you posted something in another thread in response to something posted my someone else in this thread. My bad.

A vet like whom? Should we throw a package together to bring back Carson Palmer or what? There aren't too many "vet" QBs out there that are worth building a franchise around.

I mention Quinn because by the time the Chiefs insert him as the starting QB, he'll have had two seasons of holding a clipboard, he was a first round pick (so he has talent) and because right now, he is a luxury for the Browns. Do you think the Browns want 1st round talent and 1st round money sitting on the bench holding a clipboard?

At least Quinn would be able to grow with the team (as Croyle would if he could stay healthy) and go thru his lumps as a "rookie QB" while the Chiefs aren't in playoff contention.

Let's say we go out and get a vet QB. Someone like Culpepper (who i am NOT endorsing). The Chiefs go thru their young growing pains for this season and next season with Culpepper at the helm. All the while, they're a .500 team picking in the teens during the draft. Suddenly, the Chiefs start winning a lot more games and their talent level is off the charts. What now?

This Chiefs team is ready to win and start competing for titles but now you have a 33 year old QB who couldn't even keep a backup job in 2008 at age 31. So, now the Chiefs have to plug in that rookie QB. Rookies take a good 3 to 5 years to completely mature and begin playing to their maximum potential. So, we fast forward (lets just say three years) and we look at this team. All of a sudden, the QB play is outstanding but all those players who made this team a contender are now wanting max deals. We can't keep all of them. So now we're plugging holes with cast off free agents from other teams.

But hey, Vermeil brought us a title with nothing but free agents, right?
