Default Johnson’s accuser gives her side of incident

    http://www.kansascity.com/sports/chi...ry/841755.html

This all sounds suspect to me.

First of all, the accuser is a mother who is out at the clubs at 2:30 in the morning. That says a lot in itself. Second, I don't believe for a nanosecond that she had only one drink in 3 hours at the club. Third, it was such a traumatic experience for her that she had to convince herself to report it the next day.

Now, LJ is no saint and he's screwed up in the past. But this lady sounds like she's full of sh!t to me. People will do anything to try to get their payday.
Thanks for all the yards, TDs, and memories, Priest!

If I had a problem with somebody pushing the side of my face, then there would be an assault. Chances are, I would shrug it off and chalk it up to them being an @$. It wouldn't ruin my night.

But no, no, no... Let's go ahead and sue each other for every little damn thing. While we're at it, let's all keep managing our money horribly and blame the government for all our problems!

Before we spend money and time on crap like this, people should be holding corporations accountable for what they are doing to our economy.

Assuming that the suggested events actually occured, you're suggesting that anyone who is assaulted in this lesser kind of way go ahead and escalate the situation?

So, by what you seem to be suggesting, this woman should have punched LJ?

Careful Moe. You don't want the moral police on you for thinking the way you do.

No, I was suggesting to shrug it off and go about your business as it is, really, no big deal. And if someone can't swallow their pride enough to let it go, then they should let the offending party know about it. She could have cussed LJ up one side and down the other. She could have even pushed him back if she wanted. (I'll bet LJ's 45 mil that a big, bad pro football player isn't going to file an assault charge against a woman for shoving him back.) And if LJ was smart, he would simply walk away at that point. Ultimately, somebody has to sacrifice a little pride. It's a sad state of affairs when somebody can find a payday in something so minor. This is the kind of stuff that encourages people to target celebrities for money.

If she cussed LJ out, she would have been rudely removed from the club.

So, basically, LJ owns the rest of us, and we can be his b****es, or .... be his b****es?

You don't get to just walk around shoving people like they are beneath you, humiliating them at your leisure, no mater who you are.

If she shoved him back, you really don't believe that she would have been man-handled on her way out the door, by his 'entourage' and/or bouncers?

Again, provided her statement is accurate, LJ acted like an a**, and believed that he was above some stranger at the club. He should not have the right to go around putting his hands on people like that.

Does she deserve a huge payout for that? No. Certainly not.

But she isn't filing a lawsuit. She is filing criminal charges. So far, she hasn't done anything that suggests that she is even looking for a payout.

In fact, since we have done plenty of speculation here, I would say that the fact that it got this far, with the report having been filed awhile back, that LJ has already made an offer that she rejected.

It is clearly in his best interests to keep this story from hitting the press.

Having laws to keep people from shoving others like this is a good thing. If they weren't there, then there would be alot of people shoving each other and, therefore, alot more violence.

So? At least she's standing up for herself.

Standing up for yourself against somebody like LJ is not being his *****. It shows you've got some spine.

You don't get to just walk around shoving people like they are beneath you, humiliating them at your leisure, no mater who you are.

I agree with that. LJ is a d!ck for doing something like that, even if it was provoked. Like I said, somebody needs to swallow some pride. LJ has plenty to swallow and should be the first to do so since he is in the limelight, being a pro athlete.

If she shoved him back, you really don't believe that she would have been man-handled on her way out the door, by his 'entourage' and/or bouncers?

Again, so? If anything unprofessional or untoward happens in that situation (other than her being escorted to the door free of harm) then she would be totally justified in filing a lawsuit and pressing charges against the offending parties.

Again, provided her statement is accurate, LJ acted like an a**, and believed that he was above some stranger at the club. He should not have the right to go around putting his hands on people like that.

Again, I agree. Aside from it being wrong, LJ needs to realize that is just waiting to blow up in his face before he does it.

Maybe you're right and she's not after money. It's just hard believe when there are so many people that are.

It is clearly in his best interests to keep this story from hitting the press.

Okay, maybe a citation and a fine like a speeding ticket or something. (Driving carelessly is more dangerous than shoving someone.)
I guess what I'm saying is this sounds like a "slap on the wrist" offense to me. I really don't think it has any place in a court room other than to pay a fine or something like that. JMO

    Unless he pleads not guilty.

You mentioned 'swallowing your pride' and it seems, from the little information at hand, that that is what this woman did.

But she has every right to report to the police that someone made the first step in a fist-fight with her.

And how would be justified that she would get escorted from the place for doing one of the things that you suggest she should have?

In fact, after the alleged shoving, had she even walked toward him to throw a drink in his face, she likely would have been restrained by his 'posse'. But, as long as they don't cause any real harm, that is ok?

I just think that celebs do a bit too much whining about the rest of us. As the rest of us do too much trying to scam some cash from them.

Do you really believe that LJ's intention was to have a fist-fight with a woman? I'm not saying he was right in what he did but it's not like he beat the hell out of her. He probably misinterpreted her actions and intent and was too quick and harsh in his initial reaction.

And I'm not saying she should have (or haven't) done anything. The only thing I can speculate on is what I could do in that situation. And it wouldn't be fair for her to be removed from the club, that's just what would happen. It's reality. Unfortunately, we do live in a world where celebrities are put on pedestals above the rest of us. It's not fair. It ain't right. It's just how it is. Rich and famous people beat murder raps while the rest of us get taken to the cleaners over a single-car accident with no injuries. (Just happened to a couple of friends recently). In both instances, they totaled their cars (that they can't afford to replace, anyway) and then they get hung out to dry on court costs and fines as well. No alcohol or anything like that involved... Just accidents.

So, the rich and famous get special treatment. It's nothing new and unfortunately, a large portion of the people who don't like it still help to make it possible.

Serve me up a plate of crow, Chief31.

I was hoping this would be something minor and wanted to give LJ the benefit of the doubt.

However, with his history and now another incident over the bye week with another woman in a club, it's blatantly obvious that LJ is a turd.

I have totally changed my mind on this. This woman should absolutely press charges as well as sue the crap out of LJ. The NFL should suspend him as well. This d!ckhead needs to learn a lesson and should get it from all angles.

I can't believe I stuck-up for this trash. Screw trading LJ, let's hook him up with Pac-Man Jones so they can help each other get expelled from the league and we can get out of his contract.

Therefore, since everyone wants to give celebs that kind of special treatment, they should press charges, and sue them for whatever they can get. Celebs already have plenty of advantages in life. But they are not entirely above the law.

Yeah, I still won't call him guilty. But it doesn't help his image that this is going on again. I believe that he is probably a total piece of garbage. But I can't really call him that, because I don't know.

Just a guess. Call it a hunch, if you will.
