So anyone else thinking that its awful early to start thinking about getting a new QB? I mean give Thigpen a try. Besides why pay big bucs for Cassel, he's hardly a proven QB yet.

I agree, plus Thigpen has thrown just as many TD's as Matt Cassel in almost half as many starts....

Look, it's a pipe dream to think Cassel will come here. He's going a team that needs only needs a real QB for the playoffs, like the Bears, Vikings, or (less likely, but possibly) 49rs.

My personal opinion? The Vikings fire Childress at the end of the season. They hire Josh McDaniels (Pats OC) to be their coach. He brings Cassel with him to be the QB of the future.

There's a higher liklihood of Cassell being on the Pats next year than his being on the Chiefs next year.

EDIT: And yeah, Thigpen is good enough for us to keep him as a starter for the next year or two while we groom a rookie.
