Chiefs' McBride done for the season

The Chiefs lost another player to a season-ending injury when defensive end Turk McBride was put on injured reserve.
The Chiefs were hopeful McBride would be able to play through a shoulder injury, but it hasn't improved. It is a hit both now and for the future. The second-player player has a lot of promise and he will miss valuable experience in the final six games this season.
Defensive end will surely be an area Kansas City tries to upgrade in the offense. The Chiefs have a league low six sacks this season. McBride has one career sack in 10 NFL starts. He had three sacks in the preseason this summer.
Meanwhile, running back/return man Dantrell Savage was cut. He is a candidate to go to the practice squad

I've often found that the 'Blindfold + Dartboard'-approach can achieve stellar results if executed properly.
How about our latest 'Peterson Yard-Sale Pick Me Up'?
Seems like a pretty solid kid, I hope he can play.
And, at least he's not named "Le Car" or "Yugo"; that would REALLY suck.
Wouldn't it be something, if after all these years, that Carl's final Yard-Sale Pick Me Up's all turned out to be Pro Bowl level players?
The way this franchise rolls, it wouldn't surprise me ONE BIT.
