No talking about coaches. Which players do you think played their last game as Chief.

    1. Donnie Edwards.
    2. Pat Surtain
    3. Damon Huard
    4. Ron Edwards
    5. LJ ?
    6. TG ?
    7. DJ?
    8. Alphonso Boone
    9. SacIntosh

Pat Surtain and Donnie Edwards because of their salary next year.

Donnie Edwards, Surtain, and Huard are all gone. Probably via retirement.

Ron Edwards may be gone, but I think he hangs around as a reserve next season.

LJ is as good as gone.

If Herm Edwards is fired, TG stays. If Herm stays, TG demands a trade or retires. I think Herm is canned, so TG stays. Same with Waters.

I think we resign DJ, as his market isn't that good right now, and we'll probably be the highest bidder.

Boone, like Ron Edwards, probably stays next season as a reserve.

We can't cut both LJ and McIntosh because of the cap hit. We probably keep McIntosh one more year as a reserve.

Add to the list of goners Brodie Croyle, Page, Adrian Jones, Niswanger, and Webb.

    1. Donnie Edwards. Gone. Salary cap cut.
    2. Pat Surtain. Gone. Will ask for and receive unconditional release.
    3. Damon Huard. Gone unless he agrees to restructure salary. Likely released.
    4. Ron Edwards. Gone. Unconditional release.
    5. LJ. Likely to return. Salary limits the ability to cut or trade. He would have to accept a contract restructure to facilitate a trade. He may want out, but not bad enough to take a pay cut.
    6. TG. Likely to return.
    7. DJ. A no brainer resign, but his cap number will be higher than many people think.
    8. Alphonso Boone. Gone. The cap hit isn't too bad considering the space we have in 2009.
    9. SacIntosh. Will return. Lets just hope it's as a backup.

I agree with the list except for TG and DJ. Tony will probably stay. He said he'll stay as long as Herm, Chan and Thiggy are around which I see happening. DJ could be traded but I think I'd trade him after the start of the season. I'd wait to see where we are at LB before we say goodbye.

Because, since Herm arrived, we have set a trend of getting rid of our best defensive players.
