    Default Jets release Laveranues Coles

He would be a solid #2. I don't think he would cost that much. He is 31 but he probably has at least 2 or 3 good years left. 70 catches last year proves he still has some left in the tank.

Just wanting out I think. Look, he has no QB to speak of now. He knows the team probably wont be productive at QB much.

Sure, we have lots of money and no one to spend it on. 1-Year $4 million, take it or leave it.

Coles really isn't that old. A three-year, $10-12M deal would be perfect for all involved. We get an experienced WR with some speed, and Coles keeps a starting gig.

the Kansas City Chiefs saved about $13.5 million in salary cap space with the release of CB Patrick Surtain, LB Donnie Edwards and QB Damon Huard.

Makes you wonder if they are setting up to draft a QB

No, it's just clearing out dead weight. Why would we keep Surtain, Edwards, Huard, or Merritt?

The Chiefs aren't drafting a QB at 3.

The money has to go somewhere. I think Housh and now Coles are two prospects through free agency we are actively looking at, if anything to retain TGs faith that we are going to be winners... sooner than most believe, IMO.
