    Default Undecided on Priest

I know that he was an excellent RB. I'm glad to see him back for this reason. However, there are just a few concerns I have...

    1. He says he's back to be a team leader. Where was he during the two seasons he wasn't playing? You'd think he'd at least go to some games and support his team.

    2. He's still injury prone. He was injury prone whenever he ran behind a rock solid, awesome O-line. What would he do behind an O-line that many feel is quite substandard?

    3. I don't see him as a starter. If LJ isn't playing, do you really see Priest being prepared to start? I mean, really?

Please convince me that I'm being paranoid or unreasonable.

    1. Good question; one that deserves a good answer. I only wish I had one. Only he knows his motivation behind where he spent the last season and a half.

    2. Again, only time will tell, but it has to be a concern of Herm and the coaching staff when deciding who does and does not play. IMHO

    3. I think that if continues to hold out the starter, whoever it is, either Bennett or Holmes is one who is injury prone.

    Leader? Leader?

What are you talking about leader?

Priest, you are no Trent Green and never will be.
THAT quarterback is NOT a Pro Bowl quarterback. Never was and never will be.

Um, compared to LJ, Priest is Winston Churchill (or Captain Picard --> I know we have a wide variety of posters here.)

Nobody ever called LJ a leader.

Larry Johnson, Leader OMG Government Task Force <-- note: the Oh My God Govt Task Force Leader is a big responsibility.

Grandmama was a natural born leader.

The TLC Leader is a position of power that you do not just fall into.

So, you see, many people call Larry Johnson a leader, but most importantly:

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playof...ory?id=2298109
    Herm Edwards:
"[Edwards] said, I want to tell you this now that when we get going, you'll have to be the guy on this team who is the leader and gets things done," Johnson added Wednesday on ESPN's "Cold Pizza."

and the piece-de-resistance, Grandmama -- oops, our LJ -- himself:

    http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/2006/05...media_session/
Q: Are you ready to be a leader on this team both on and off the field?
JOHNSON: “There are about six or seven leaders and I’m just one of many leaders on this team. All I have to do is keep doing what I’ve been doing and lead by example and do what I did the last nine games which is step up and be a leader on the field, not necessarily off the field, but be a leader on the field mostly.“

Keep in mind. OTher than Herm saying he wanted him to take on a leadership role, nobody has called Larry Johnson, the RB for the Kansas City Chiefs, a leader.

What made him decide a week ago that he wanted to play again?
