    Default Thread starters......

I know everyone would love to be the Chief Crowd member to post breaking news! I understand that and I feel your need for it. Saying that, I know Coach does a damned good job of keeping us posted on whats latest and breaking news, whether it be from kcchiefs.com, yahoo etc. Can we all please control ourselves? If coach is to busy, then maybe we can choose 1 or 2 more people to help him out. This way we would cut down on everyone posting multiple threads about the same thing. Just my opinion.

Maybe if the mods would merge the threads like they are supposed to then it would not be a problem!!

the point everyone is making is just that when you log on there are 250 to 300 un read posts, sometimes 2 screens worth of threads to go thru. some days half of them are duplicates, trips, quads. before you post a "new" news thread try and scan thru them and open the ones on the same subject to see if the "new news" has already been posted. then add your insight onto that one. that would cut down on the # of like threads.

I tend to agree with this, for the most part.

Another aspect that gets overlooked is that some threads tend to get dominated by a particular discussion, within the thread.

Throwing in seperate thoughts during those kind of discussions has a tendancy to get you overlooked.

As DH and I, for example, may take a discussion to an entirely different direction, it can seem pointless to throw a seperate thought into that disussion.

Forgive me Chiefster, but I don't think that having multiple threads covering the same story is a bad thing.

Because most of the time, if more than one of those threads is getting replies, then there is more than one discussion going on between them.

Also, it can be uncomfortable for some to post in the middle of a heated, ongoing, discussion like we get sometimes.

I often avoid interupting heated debates between others. (Not very often. )

Can it be a pain to thumb through multiple threads on the same topic? Sure it can.

But I think it is a minor inconvenience, when compared to the convenience of allowing people to have their own discussion, over being forced to compete for attention in a single thread.

I will start as many threads as I want, do not like it, to bad!!!!!!!!
However I do try to not start new threads on the same subject, unless I want to.
