Nice job coach, I pretty much agree with most of it. I do think that Freeman (even though I do not like him) will wind up somewhere in the late first round.

You may be right, but I just think Freeman is overrated so I probably let my bias get the better of me.

Freeman could land in TB, which means Peria Jerry would probably end up in Detroit. Robert Ayers could then end up in Buffalo.

I for 1 really hope if we draft Curry, I hope he is ready for it! I really dont know alot about him tbh. If we do I really hope he is mature enough to take on the role he will have. We have not drafted a LB this high since DT! He will be overwhelmed, not only being a rookie season but the expectations. It will be unfair to have hopes for him as a LB this high in the draft. Although, as fans, as with all of you that have a DT jersey in your closet would have to agree that he would have a very big set of shoes to fill regardless if he is a pass rusher or a run blocker.

Nice mock, well thought out from top to bottom. I like Curry more and more from what I hear of him, seems like a really good kid.

    This is from Rotoworld.

Wake Forest LB Aaron Curry said Tuesday that he would be willing to take less money than last year's No. 1 pick Jake Long if the Lions selected him as the top pick in the draft.

Detroit wants to have a deal in place before the draft, so Curry's sentiment is sure to further endear him to the team's front office. Lions fans have already begun clamoring for the down-to-earth star who has invited a 12-year-old leukemia survivor to join him for draft festivities in New York.
Not only could we end up with the best overall player in the draft, but maybe the best person.

Good mock coach!!! You all know I like Curry, I really think he's going to be a special player, whoever gets him.
But for our benifit I really hope Snyder has a really big man crush on Sanchez and comes knocking on our door. Even if we only get thier 1st and 2nd it would be more benificial to our overall draft.

Good mock, except that I don't think Stafford goes number 1. I think that the Lions say "hell with it" and go with Jason Smith. I think it plays out (assuming no trades):

    1. Lions - Jason Smith OT
    2. Rams - Eugene Monroe OT
    3. Chiefs - BJ Raji NT
    4. Seahawks - Mark Sanchez QB
    5. Browns - Aaron Curry LB
    6. Bengals - Brian Orapko DE
    7. Raiders - Jeremy Maclin WR
    8. Jaguars - Matt Stafford QB
    9. Packers - Tyson Jackson DE
    10. 49ers - Michael Crabtree WR
    11. Bills - Andre Smith OT
    12. Broncos - Everette Brown DE
    13. Redskins - Michael Oher OT
    14. Saints - Malcomb Jenkins CB
    15. Texans - Clay Mathews OLB
    16. Chargers - Rey Maualuga LB
    17. Jets - Aaron Maybin DE
    18. Denver Broncos - Brian Cushing ILB
    19. Bucs - Peria Jerry DT
    20. Detroit Lions - Josh Freeman QB
    21. Eagles - Chris Wells RB
    22. Vikings - Ebon Britton OT
    23. Patriots - Vontae Davis CB
    24. Falcons - Brandon Pettigrew TE
    25. Dolphins - Darius Butler CB
    26. Ravens - Hakeem Nicks WR
    27. Colts - James Laurinitis LB
    28. Bills - Larry English DE
    29. Giants - Evander Hood DT
    30. Titans - Darrius Heyward-Bey WR
    31. Cardinals - Robert Ayers DE
    32. Steelers - Alex Mack C

There are rumors all over the place today that the Lions and Stafford are close to or may have already agreed on contract terms. I think there's about a 90% chance they take Stafford on Saturday.

Just saw. Not the best decision on their part (in my humble opinion). For every Big Ben there's . . . every other junior QB.
