Default Your call: Most Improved/Impressive Chief in 2009?

News around Arrowhead seems to be a bit dry as of late with the draft now behind us and UDFAs slowing down to a trickle (Chase Patton got a workout with the Chiefs FYI). Now with rookie training camps in session and mandatorys/OTAs approaching things will start to shape up slowly but surely.

That being said, I'd like to see what and where everyone's opinions stand in regards to whom will be show the most improvement or be the most impressive Chief coming into the 2009 season.

In all seriousness my prediction for the 2009 season's most improved player will be Derrick Johnson.

After 4-years playing around the range of 'mediocre to better then good' range the new stable of veteran LB leadership, defensive leadership in general, a new scheme, and the makings of a defensive line for the first time in his career will free up Derrick to play within his game and really come into his own and live up to his potentail this season.

    Thoughts/Opinions/Questions?

Try to leave 09 rookies out of the discussion.

I hope everyone on the team after all there was not to many bright spots last year. I mean with a 2-14 record it looks like no one was playing very good.

I disagree about bright spots. I thought Tyler Thigpen, Mark Bradley, Connor Barth, and Brandon Flowers were all bright spots. Jamal Charles was even fun to watch, when he could keep himself healthy.

As far as who will be most improved this year? My crystal ball is broken, but I'm hoping for LJ and/or Dorsey.

I'm going with Tank. I think putting him at NT and telling him to be a bull, go straight upfield, will be good for him.

I normally would say Bowe, but with 88 being gone I think he will see more coverage. He will still be a stud, but just more coverage so he doesn't get the most improved/impressive. Most improved/impressive will go to Dorsey. I think even he knows he needs to step it up and play closer to expectations, I think 09 will be the year where Chief fans see why he was drafted so early last year
