Just curious to see how us chief fan's feel about Matt Cassell. Argue why or why Matt Cassell isn't the QOTF.

I sure hope so. I'm pretty unsure what to predict for him. I think it depends greatly on if we get a ROT and if Albert succeeds.
If our pass protection can meet their potential, then I think Cassel has a very good chance of finding success with us.
I think Cassel will be a good QB for us for years to come. No one can say for sure if he will be good, or even great, but I feel much more confident with Cassel, than I would have with any QB taken in the draft this year.
I have no idea wether Matt Cassell will be the QBOTF.
But, it sure seems like the FO wants it that way.
Which is too bad because i really liked the way Tyler Thigpen plays football, especially after Gailey cut him loose to run the spread option.
But, Todd Haley has proven before that he'll play the best guy.
[Gailey] switched to a quasi-spread offense to fit the talents of third-team quarterback Tyler Thigpen.
I think Cassell will be solid.. I think TG eing gone will hurt. Tyler used him quite a bit last year and Cassell sure who have loved having 88 on the field. I think teams will be able to double up on Bowe and play 1-1 vs our other receivers. Bradley and Engram need to step up and help out Cassell by being consistant, healthy and running good routes. I think Cassells "QB IQ" is relatevely high considering he has been an understudy in a great system and under a good QB...I think he will pick up and learn the system quickly...
I hope Cassel is our QBOTF, I really do. I watched the game tapes from the second half of the season and he looked so good. But it's hard for me to truly believe he is until I can see him play in a Chiefs uni.
This is the thought that keeps running through my head:
"Brady 50 TDs. Cassel 22 TDs. Same offense."
Most everyone keeps forgetting about the number of injuries the Pats OL had last year. Being a newbie Cassel probably held the ball a little too long, but that will improve with game experience. I believe Cassel was sacked like 47 times last year.
Last year was Niswangers first year at Center. He should be better this year, especially with good OG's on both sides. If someone steps up at RT, our OL should be pretty solid.
Haley is known to play the best player. If Tyler spent the off season working on the foot work required to operate from under center, We might have a competition at QB. If Tyler didn't, the job is definitely Cassel's.
