"Grasshoppa" was what Cane's old blind master at the shaolin temple called him when he was a boy there. in the show "Kung Fu". can't remember his name although "master poe" comes to mind

Yes, during one lesson the old blind monk tells the boy "Cane" that he needs to open his mind and senses for he does not here the "grasshopper" at his feet. of course Cane looks down to see a grasshopper next to his foot as he realizes the acute senses of the old monk to be able to here the impercievable movements of a grasshopper. thus the old monk called Cane grasshopper from then on.
