Could the 1969 Chiefs beat the 2007 Colts if they could have ever played each other?

...Don't kid yourself; it's just as dirty in the trenches today as it was back then, but I do agree that the players were tougher back then. Today huge salaries has necessitated the feeling that these guys need to be baby coddled; they seem to be out a minimum of at least two to four weeks for what seems to be nothing more then a hang nail comparatively speaking.

Did you hear the advise that Jared Allen gave "Tank" or Turk, one of those two, in the Hard Knocks show? "Kick 'em in the nuts".

Players today are far stronger and much faster than they were then. Manning would throw alot of quick passes and wear-down the lesser conditioned players. Then, late in the game, the Chiefs would be out of gas.

Purely hypothetical, but that's what I would expect.

Agreed; the game has evolved to a much higher standard.

most players back then had 2nd jobs. so the conditioning wasnt anywhere nere as good as today. we`d be wore out by half time.
i can remember what a chief super bowl team looks like! ......

Hmmm...I'd love to see that game. If you called it on the rules from '69, (i.e. pass interference rules) I don't see Harrison and Wayne having near the success they do in todays game. Peyton is a tough nut, but I'm not so sure his wideouts are.

The 49ers own my heart, but the Chiefs will always hold a better than neutral spot for giving my favorite player a place to leave with grace...

Isn't that what Madden is for?
THAT quarterback is NOT a Pro Bowl quarterback. Never was and never will be.
