Default Derrick Thomas Hall of Fame coverage

Great Tribute article for D.T. including quotes from Marty and a tribute video on the bottom of the page.

As my all time favorite player growing up, Its a pretty big deal that D.T. is finally in the hall. Out of all the things that we as Chiefs fans argue about on this forum, there is one thing that we can all agree on: the greatness of Derrick Thomas.

Recalling Thomas' enduring legacy beyond the football field

I also attached these kind words from NFL guru Gil Brandt:

Sackmaster Thomas was all smiles. Opposing QBs? Not so much

They showed the Seattle game last night(D.T.'s 7 sack masterpiece)on NFL network. Finally, something other than the steelers or the cowgirls!

I liked his comments about the sack he didn't get; he was always striving for perfection. I believe he would have traded the sack title for the "W".

Whats really amazing is that he got 6 against the Raiders (including 1 Safety) 8 years later. A true Athlete.

no doubt. In 11 seasons he had 126.5 sacks the great Lawrence Taylor had 132.5 at the end of his 13 year career. So DT had two more seasons to surpass LT. He (DT)averaged 11.5 a season- there is no doubt he belongs in the HOF!!
