On the plus side, he could be pushing Cassel to more greatness eventually.

In Haley we trust. This sounds like a good Sportsbook bet.

"I keep the wolf from the door, but he calls me up/
Calls me on the phone, tells me all the ways that he's gonna mess me up" - Radiohead

The media can be terribly vicious, sometimes.
We're talking about Cassell's performance in an environment where the BEST defense we've got sees the same plays again and again and can learn to anticipate the play.

We're also talking about a young QB who, without a doubt, is going to have fits with his confidence, no matter who the H-E Double hockey sticks he trained under. That's just how it goes. Sorry. He needs more real game experience under his belt.

    Seriously, guys, RELAX.
Even if Cassell's a bust, we have YOUNG DEPTH at the position.

I do NOT think Cassell is a bust after watching him on Saturday, but I'm just saying; we do have options.

We still have a long long long ways to go before we can effectively determine Matt as a one hit wonder or a genuine player in this league. We weren't expecting much from this season anyway, were we?

But for god's sakes, TAKE HEART. We have THREE, yes THREE guys that have a boatload of potential to excel in this league.

If Cassell can't do it, then so what? He'll be an expensive back up. We've got cap room for that.
