Let's hope he does a lot better in year 3. I understand last year was Fisher's first year at LT, but Alex just cannot take all that Abuse. I'd hate for Fisher to be the Lines weak link after we upgrade other positions.

Understood. Fisher does have room for improvement, no doubt. Like yourself, I also hope year 3 is a breakout season for him.
Nobody can deny that Fisher arrived to the Chiefs under less than ideal circumstances (weak draft class and having to play out of position in year one).

I really think Fisher is going to turn out just fine. He's in year 3 and his 2cond year at LT. He is playing on a 4 year contract and will be looking for a long term extension with lots of guaranteed money before next year. So he is going to break his butt trying to turn in a performance that will justify a FAT extension. For sure we will see this year what Fisher is really made of.

I wanted Jake Long sooo bad for the Chiefs in the draft. We were picking high (plus a mid 1st). I was so mad at the Dolphins for picking him at the top of the draft because we badly needed a LT and I was hoping he would fall to us. Ironically we ended up picking Albert with the second of our first rounders who is now with the Dolphins and we are discussing whether the Chiefs should sign Long!!!
I still say, though, if he can be signed at a minimum, maybe we should sign him as a RT, pending a physical.
