Former B.C. Lions quarterback Casey Printers is looking for a place to play.
According to CKNW in Vancouver, the Kansas City Chiefs have cut Printers. The Chiefs reportedly offered to keep him on the practice roster, but he declined.
Printers will go on the 24-hour waiver wire on Saturday.
CKNW reports that Printers wants to sign with an NFL team by next week, but if he doesn't, he will turn his attention to the CFL.
Printers last played in the CFL with the Lions in 2005. His best season came in 2004 when he threw for 5,088 yards and 35 touchdowns while completing 65.8 per cent of his passes. Printers also rushed for 469 yards and nine touchdowns that season.
This is stunning considering he was the best performing QB during the preseason.
Who thinks Leftwich is coming for a visit soon?
I sure hope not.
