This is depressing, we traded our number 1 pick for Alex Smith. If you trade your franchise LT and 2 second round picks you better be a lot better than .500.
No Monday or Thursday games?
Eagles game is Thursday
WOW! What an amazingly favorable schedule for the Chiefs. UN-FREAKIN-BELIEVABLE! Heading into the bye week, the Chiefs have the talent and schedule to be among the best in the league with their toughest games coming in the last quarter of the season where a loss may not hurt so much if we're already trying to rest players. First reaction without reading this thread is utter shock by how awesomely favorable this schedule is. Don't be shocked to see the Chiefs with a VERY high win pct. this year... much like 2009 when they had another incredibly easy schedule.
In my opinion, this schedule has shifted the paradigm as it relates the the Chiefs' aspirations this season. The goal should no longer be making the playoffs the year after winning just 2 games, but WINNING at least 1 playoff game.
Sure. They're just going to be dumb enough to put Joeckel out on an island on every single snap of that game in spite of having acquired blocking TE Anthony Forsano -- RIGHT?
And Geno is going to be an instant superstar on Day 1 & not feel any heat from Tamba Hali or Justin Houston or other Chiefs defenders -- RIGHT?
Yeah, we get it.
