Clinton, McCain emerge as comeback winners in New Hampshire primary

WASHINGTON - Democrat Hillary Clinton pulled off an unexpected narrow victory in New Hampshire on Tuesday, dramatically rescuing her bid for the White House in a tense battle with Barack Obama.
Clinton, who's fighting to become the first woman in the Oval Office, mounted a surprisingly strong showing after bracing for a second defeat following her devastating third-place showing in Iowa.

Republican John McCain also nabbed a major comeback victory, putting him solidly back in his party's nomination race.
While Obama, vying to make history as the first black U.S. president, scored big among independents and voters between 18 and 24, Clinton attracted lower-income voters and seniors and did best among voters citing the economy as their top concern.
But a big factor for Clinton was women voters, who had gone over to Obama in large numbers in Iowa. Nearly half in New Hampshire were once again supporting her, while Obama got only a third.

No, what's sad, is that no matter who wins this year....

    We all lose.

    Yep.

I guess I can't complain too much. I'm under contract with the Navy and looking at everyone else that has problems with healthcare and cost of living. At least my family's taken care of. Now only if the big wigs wouldn't contemplate taking my retirement from my military service completely...

Ok willwin. I joined the Navy to help people that have less than we do in this country. I've seen people that have less than we do in this country. I don't need a speech from you or Rush. Go do some deployments to third world countries while worrying about your family every second of the day and come back and talk to me. I know what I have.

well are you one of those ppl that thinks that somehow whoever is in office is responsible for how our economy is doing?in reality, the economy should be left UNTOUCHED by government. WE THE PEOPLE have the power to fix the economy, NOT A GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL. government is the whole reason our economy doesnt thrive. yes the war is the one exeption to the rule, it can effect our economy. But other than military spending, government should not touch economics and let the free market work EVERYTHING out. AND NEVER BAIL OUT IRRESPONSIBLE ppl for their mistakes. That doesnt help, it HURTS HURTS HURTS our economy and it hurst responsible ppl.

I wish the government would butt out of a lot more than just the economy.
