Could the 1969 Chiefs beat the 2007 Colts if they could have ever played each other?

I ll tell you all what....I just watched the highlight film from the 69 Chiefs and I dont care about the conditioning and blah blah about athletes today. The 69 Chiefs were big and badass and I think they would have half of the Colts starting lineup on the bench injured or scared by halftime. Sure the Colts might be able to run longer, if they dont have a broken leg or cracked ribs. Manning would be cryin after the first hit!! The Chiefs would lay an absolute *** whippin on the Colts no doubt!!

I understand what you're sayin, but the game has undergone a bit of a evolution since then. Not taking anything at all away from our one and only SB victory, but the comparison really is apples and oranges. JMHO

You still have to run the ball and pass the ball and hit the guy that has the ball.

Agreed bud; and Hank Stram was considered to be decades ahead of his time as far as offensive innovation, but the fact of the matter is that players on the whole today are bigger, stronger, faster and more physical IMO.

Yeah, you may have a point there; I was speaking more of the league in general, but I do think that they are more athletic, but I could be wrong and often are. :)

They sure would have scored more than the '07 Chiefs did, that's for sure!!

    No argument there.
