Clinton, McCain emerge as comeback winners in New Hampshire primary

WASHINGTON - Democrat Hillary Clinton pulled off an unexpected narrow victory in New Hampshire on Tuesday, dramatically rescuing her bid for the White House in a tense battle with Barack Obama.
Clinton, who's fighting to become the first woman in the Oval Office, mounted a surprisingly strong showing after bracing for a second defeat following her devastating third-place showing in Iowa.

Republican John McCain also nabbed a major comeback victory, putting him solidly back in his party's nomination race.
While Obama, vying to make history as the first black U.S. president, scored big among independents and voters between 18 and 24, Clinton attracted lower-income voters and seniors and did best among voters citing the economy as their top concern.
But a big factor for Clinton was women voters, who had gone over to Obama in large numbers in Iowa. Nearly half in New Hampshire were once again supporting her, while Obama got only a third.

Don't feel like you have to apologize for it HH. If the Locker Room were getting inundated with tons of political nonsense and we were arguing hatefully to no end, that would be different.

    I agree,
I apologize if the discussion offends you, but it was topical and on my mind when I started the thread.
This discussion does not offend me! But if we are going to discuss politics, then put them in a forum for that! Then who wants to talk about politics can. It can then be a way to voice opinions for those who want to.

We don't need a forum for this. We have enough forums. One thread is enough.

I will adjust it a little.

I always thought the Locker Room was where I could post anything that I though relevant. (Or not relevant )

I guess Coach could create a special Politics forum for the election year though.

Submit it as an Idea in the idea forums Tornado.

This election has another year to go.

Actually less than 10 months now.

We have the HARDCORE Chiefs forum. You will ALWAYS get football talk there. Or the Other NFL teams forum.

There are ways to avoid threads you don't like.

I agree Guru, but the topic of the thread was about a USA Political event, and all I am saying is, if we are going to talk about USA Pollitical news, start a forum, to talk about it.

I know. Trust me, I know.

I have seen first hand how creating a political forum on a sports site can turn upside down though.

I feel it will be better to the community to bundle it all into one thread rather than make an entire forum about it that will only get ugly.
