So it's Official .. we got Hillis for 1 year contract for 1 Million.
So we got a mix of Speed and Power ..
That raw power missed since Okoye .. hope Hillis turns into a bargain and a great RB.

Chiefs announce the addition of Peyton Hillis

APThe Kansas City Chiefs announced Wednesday that they have signed running back Peyton Hillis, formerly of the Browns.
Hillis has a coaching staff connection in K.C. New Chiefs offensive coordinator Brian Daboll ran the offense in Cleveland during Hillis’ breakout 2010 season. Hillis’ 2011 campaign was marred by injuries and a distracting contract situation, but he’s only 26 years old and one of the top power runners in football when healthy.
With Jamaal Charles returning from a torn ACL, the Chiefs will be able to field a Thunder and Lightning-style backfield duo. Expect the team to revert to a run-heavy offense in 2012.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Hillis’ deal is worth $3 million for one year.
Hillis was the No. 39 overall player on the PFT Hot 100.
Not really the signing I was hoping for. Hope he has a good year, but I hate a 1 year contract! Hopefully we get a few more now.
Doing my best to keep my sons memory alive!!!
The short term contract does disappoint me, but I am glad to see us doing SOMETHING in FA.

You know, it's a shame for Todd Haley that he didn't have Special Agent Peyton Hillis on the roster last year. He could have used Agent Hillis to find all of the bugs in his office that the owners planted.
This is a really good signing regardless of the poor Haley timing. Agent Hillis could always retire and join the CIA, but the Chiefs aren't risking anything. If Agent Hillis focuses on football and stays healthy, Kansas City will have a great one-two punch at running back - something that is essential considering that Jamaal Charles is coming off a torn ACL.
Supposedly Tolbert is still visiting kc.... maybe we sign him long term? We would be extremely fresh for the playoffs
