Default Game 11 thoughts the fact about this defense

    This one HURTS badly

    The good

The offense THEY DID THEIR JOB. 38 points their is 0 excuse for the d to lost that game the way they did today.

    The bad

    The defense.
Yes I know they lost Hali and Houston but that's no excuse for the 41 points. That's the thing with this core group of defenders. When things get tough they FOLD their tents. Last year they did it time and time again. And they did it today. Very upset with these guys right now. They got a lot of praise for how they played early in the year. But they need to feel the heat for this. They can't keep folding the moment things get tough

Andy Reid Keeps being pass happy. The running game had a number of nice runs and he didn't stick to it. And lets night forget the bad timeout call late in the game instead of at the very least running the clock down he called a time out with about 20 secounds left on the playclock.

I disagree. They are great for bump and run coverage. Just not when the offense is sending everyone deep and you have no pressure on the QB. Typically you don't expect the O to send everyone deep (except inside 2 minutes), so you only need one safety over the top. They sent everyone deep, so Demps couldn't provide the coverage over the top that the CBs were expecting. Few CBs in this league can bump, release, then run with a WR for 40 yards.

Unless you have Deion at CB, you don't tell your CB to bump and then cover the deep route with no help over the top. How did they not know SD would be going for a deep route. Horrible call by the coaches.

It's all moot now, with the Donkeys having lost. The Chiefs just have to forge on & hope the Defense and Offense can play better this next Sunday, although the Chiefs Offense had a good showing today.

Chiefs were up 7-3 when Hali got hurt. They were up 14-3 when Houston got hurt. Just saying.....

It certainly helped. It was not the only reason. There was some pretty poor coaching also. 1st and goal from the 5 with a minute 20 left on the clock. We take a Time out and score. We pretty much scored at will today and while I know we had to score. Takkng the time out when we did was stupid. At least let the clock run down to 1 then take it.

Knowing our pass rush is hurt, and watching our secondary getting abused with constant pick plays kills man to man coverage. Why play man to man when all we needed was a prevent. At some point in time, didn't Sutton realize that satying in man to man was getting us killed with huge plays. No instead of keeping the safeties back to help our corners we blitzed them leaving the corners completely on an island.

Alex Smith throwing high balls, the INT tipped by Avery went off his hands, but the ball should not off been that high.

Maybe the Defense just isn't as great as we thought as well.

Our defense is geared around and relies on strong pass rush. With both of our sack masters out we should have went more zone. Our defense is good when it has all its parts. I just hope we atleast get one of them back for denver. Hali sounds optimistic that he might be able to go but doubt he will practice much this week. Even if we only use him situational would be better tham nothing.
