There's no player in the draft that is a sure thing. But LT seems to be a position that is fairly predictable and has a low bust rate. I'm still hoping we draft a QB, but it won't shock me if we take LT. We will know much more in a few weeks when we find out if they tag Bowe or Albert. If they tag Bowe, Albert is gone and there is high probability we draft LT. Possibly with the 1st pick, possibly the 2nd.

I am normally the first person to say Draft LT, but not this year for some reason. I understand taking the best player available but Donald Stephenson didn't do to bad last year. So even if we don't resign Albert, I just think we need to find a bigger play maker with the 1st overall. Unless Joeckel is the next Willie Roaf, and people even argue if he is the best LT. Then I want somethig sexier with this pick.

Tackles don't win superbowls, QBs do.

We don't need another LT at this point and it would be a waste of a pick to select one this year.

Now, if Albert walks, we can revisit this.

Which might happen if we tag Bowe.

I honestly believe we will re-sign Albert. I would still prefer to NOT tag Bowe and actually re-sign him too.

    Nail on the head.

I know Dorsey has said that he wants to take the BPA, but after Pioli's tenure, Dorsey might find himself on a much shorter leash!

It's a fairly big risk. He's gonna want big money and he was hurt for a good part of the season. Back pain is something that doesn't usually go away from my experience. Once a bad back, always a bad back.
